Production was scheduled to begin in late 2022, limited to 275 units with a price of US$2.72 million per unit, all of which were sold out. Despite receiving over four times the number of orders than planned, Mercedes-AMG maintained the production cap to ensure exclusivity. • The Mercedes-AMG ONE boasts a hybrid powertrain rated at 782 kW (1,063 PS; 1,049 hp), heavily influenced by modern F1 technology. It features a 1.6-litre turbocharged V6 engine, paired with four electric motors. The engine, based on the Mercedes-AMG F1 W06, was modified to meet idle RPM and redline regulations, with an idle of 1,280 rpm and a redline of 11,000 rpm. The internal combustion engine produces 422 kW (574 PS; 566 hp), with a top speed of 219 mph (352 km/h). However, due to the complexity of the drivetrain, torque figures remain unmeasurable. The car’s carbon-fiber body contributes to a kerb weight of 1,695 kg (3,737 lb). • The hybrid system includes MGU-K and MGU-H motors, recovering energy and enhancing efficiency during operation. The MGU-K generates electricity during braking, while the MGU-H eliminates turbo lag by maintaining turbine speed at lower RPMs. Combined, the four electric motors contribute 360 kW (489 PS; 483 hp), powering an all-wheel-drive system. A 7-speed single-clutch automated manual transmission delivers power to the rear wheels, aided by a 4-disc carbon racing clutch. • The suspension setup includes a five-link aluminum coil-over system with adaptive damping. The AMG ONE also features carbon-fiber ceramic brakes with 398 x 38 mm front discs and 380 x 34 mm rear discs, paired with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires. 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels with NACA carbon fiber openings enhance brake cooling and downforce. • Inside, the design is minimalist and driver-focused, reminiscent of a Formula 1 cockpit. It includes AMG Motorsport bucket seats integrated into the carbon monocoque, a F1-style steering wheel with driving program controls, and a driver-oriented central infotainment screen. Luxury touches include napa leather with hand-stitched detailing. • Acceleration stats provided by Mercedes-AMG state the car can sprint from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.9 seconds, 0-200 km/h (124 mph) in 7.0 seconds, and 0-300 km/h (186 mph) in 15.6 seconds. • The AMG ONE holds the road-legal production car lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, clocking in at 6:35.183 minutes, driven by Maro Engel. It also set records at the Nürburgring Grand Prix, Hockenheimring, Red Bull Ring, and Monza Circuit, with the fastest lap times for a production car. • Lewis Hamilton reportedly bought two units of the AMG ONE, with one gifted to his father, Anthony Hamilton. Other notable owners include David Coulthard, Nico Rosberg, Valtteri Bottas, and businessman Lindsay Fox.
